Personal info, passport details, dietary restrictions, emergency contact — required for visa processing and logistics.

Flights & travel insurance

You book your own flights and insurance. Here's what you need to know.

Flights
Book your own international flights. The program covers all in-country transport between cities.
  • Arrive: Beijing (PEK or PKX) by Aug 15
  • Return (main): Shenzhen SZX or Hong Kong HKG, Aug 26+
  • Return (extended): Haikou HAK or Sanya SYX, Aug 29+
  • Recommend arriving Aug 15 evening for the welcome dinner
  • Share your flight details via the Flight Information Form above
  • Budget airlines (e.g. Air China, Hainan Airlines) often have competitive routes to PEK

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance with medical and evacuation coverage is required for all trekkers. Purchase before departure.
  • Must cover: medical expenses + emergency evacuation
  • Coverage period: full trip dates (Aug 15–26 or Aug 15–29)
  • Recommended: WorldNomads, IMG Global, Allianz Travel
  • Check that China is explicitly covered in your policy
  • Keep your policy number and emergency hotline saved offline
  • Submit proof of insurance via the Trekker Information Form
